This book is advertised as a short ‘snax’ read and it is exactly that.

I received a copy for an unbiased review. Be ready for heart-pounding danger facing people who are less well prepared than they think they are.Īdult situations, graphic violence and strong language make this an adult read.

If you want to read a modern fantasy romance which is not about shapeshifters for a change, this is an unusual and lively adventure with a capable woman being pursued by two different men. And we don't go into any 'halls' of mountain trolls, just meet one in open country. I did find the tale well written but I was a bit cross that there are three times as many sexual encounters as there are sightings of trolls. Teams of researchers are sent to study troll breeds and in some cases, like the Vikings of Beowulf's day, they 'have to' kill the trouble making troll. They are, like wolves or polar bears, fierce hunters of livestock and adapted to cold northern climes, but the civil service can't admit to their existence. Outside trendy Trondheim there is a problem with trolls.
